16 січня 2026 року у Палаці культури міста Українка відбулася знакова культурна подія — презентація мобільної виставки «Подорож з українсько-єврейською зустріччю». Захід зібрав краєзнавців, молодь та всіх, хто цікавиться історією рідного краю.
Про проєкт та його місію
Виставку представив Владислав Гриневич, керівник українського представництва канадської недержавної організації Ukrainian Jewish Encounter (UJE). Як зазначив пан Владислав, організація була заснована понад 10 років тому канадським меценатом українського походження з метою покращення взаєморозуміння між двома народами через вивчення спільної історії та культури.
«На території України протягом тисячоліття українці та євреї жили пліч-о-пліч. Цей досвід спільного проживання залишив глибокий слід у мові, релігії, живописі та архітектурі обох народів», — наголосив доповідач [02:17].
Що можна побачити на виставці?
Експозиція складається з інформаційних блоків, виконаних двома мовами — українською та англійською. Вона вже встигла побувати у найбільших провінціях Канади та багатьох містах України [04:11]. Виставка лаконічно, але змістовно розповідає про:
- Тисячоліття співіснування двох народів.
- Культурний взаємовплив та спільні традиції.
- Трагічні сторінки історії, зокрема Голокост та Бабин Яр.
- Сучасну співпрацю, включаючи службу представників обох громад у лавах ЗСУ [08:30].
Освітні можливості та конкурси
Окрім виставки, організація активно підтримує видавничу діяльність. Учасники зустрічі отримали в подарунок каталоги та ознайомилися з флагманським виданням — книгою «Євреї та українці: тисячоліття співіснування».
Особливу увагу приділили молоді: пан Владислав розповів про щорічний Всеукраїнський конкурс учнівського малюнку. Роботи школярів демонструють не лише трагічне минуле, а й бачення спільного майбутнього, толерантність та повагу до культурного різноманіття нашої країни [07:09].

On January 16, 2026, a significant cultural event took place at the Palace of Culture in Ukrainka — the presentation of the mobile exhibition “A Journey through the Ukrainian-Jewish Encounter.” The event brought together local historians, youth, and everyone interested in the history of their native land.
About the Project and Its Mission
The exhibition was presented by Vladyslav Hrynevych, head of the Ukrainian representative office of the Canadian non-governmental organization Ukrainian Jewish Encounter (UJE). As Mr. Vladyslav noted, the organization was founded over 10 years ago by a Canadian philanthropist of Ukrainian descent to improve mutual understanding between the two nations through the study of shared history and culture.
“For a millennium, Ukrainians and Jews have lived side by side on the territory of Ukraine. This experience of cohabitation has left a deep mark on the language, religion, painting, and architecture of both peoples,” the speaker emphasized [02:17].
What to See at the Exhibition?
The exposition consists of information panels in two languages — Ukrainian and English. It has already toured the largest provinces of Canada and many cities in Ukraine [04:11]. The exhibition provides a concise yet profound overview of:
- A millennium of coexistence between the two nations.
- Cultural mutual influence and shared traditions.
- Tragic pages of history, including the Holocaust and Babyn Yar.
- Modern cooperation, including the service of representatives from both communities in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) [08:30].

In addition to the exhibition, the organization actively supports publishing activities. Participants of the meeting received catalogs as gifts and were introduced to the flagship publication — the book “Jews and Ukrainians: A Millennium of Coexistence.”
Special attention was given to the youth: Mr. Vladyslav spoke about the annual student art contest. The students’ works demonstrate not only the tragic past but also a vision of a shared future, tolerance, and respect for the cultural diversity of our country [07:09].
